The subwoofer is a great ex-

ample. Producing exclusively

low frequency effects - also

known as LFE’s or just bass -

it expands the sound picture

normally heard by stereo

speakers. And the Scansonic

S8 is no exception.

A single 12” driver unit is

120W (RMS) built-in ampliﬁer.

And like other Scansonic

subwoofers, it features a long-

throw voice coil, providing a

crisp linear movement that en-

sures big, controlled and deep

bass that ﬁlls the room.

Because all rooms are differ-

ent, individual performance

parameters on the S12

including volume, frequency,

and phase can be adjusted
